Daniel Rogov is Israel's most influential and pre-eminent wine critic. He writes weekly wine and restaurant columns in the newspaper Haaretz, and maintains a wine and food forum that is totally free to participants and has no advertisements or any other connections with the wines he discusses and evaluates.
WineLovers Discussion Group : Rogov's Wine Forum
For many years we have followed his tasting notes, and now with over 150 wineries we see Rogov's Guide to Israeli Wines becoming thicker and thicker.
With so many wineries and so much different wines, we could never succeed in tasting them all. … Not even a small part of them. We need a guide. And his name is Daniel Rogov.
Rogov is probably not the only guide and there is also a subjective part to tasting wine. We do, however find that in most cases we agree with him. We decided to trust him, and until today that has proven to be our best choice.
Of course, we invite you all to confront his notes by tasting yourself. His notes will help you find your way in the huge offering of wine.
